Please note all Foam Test Kits and equipment are intended to provide indicative results only. It is highly recommended that foam samples are always sent to a reputable Foam Test Laboratory for independent, third party evaluation on at least an annual basis.

Produced Foam Test Kit

Designed to enable fire safety professionals to carry out for themselves indicative on-site checks on the accuracy and performance of their induction system.

Suitable for testing the following types of foam:

  • Alcohol Resistant Foams (AR-AFFFs)

Foam Concentrate Test Kit

Designed to enable fire safety professionals to carry out for themselves indicative on-site checks on both the specifications of foam concentrates and the performance of their induction system.

Suitable for testing the following properties of Foam Concentrate:

Specific gravity 25% drainage time
Expansion ratio Induction percentage

For those with access to a laboratory, the manual includes instructions for testing:

pH (requires a pH meter)
Surface tension (requires a surface tension balance)
Viscosity (requires a viscometer)

Also suitable for testing Produced Foams in accordance with International Standards NFPA 11: 2021 (paragraph 13.2.1) and BS EN 13565-1: 2019 (paragraph 5.3)

Training: Produced Foam Test Kit

We provide in-house training for our Produced Foam Test Kit.

This course provides extensive technical background and hands on experience in all aspects of Produced Foam Testing, using our bespoke Foam Testing equipment.

Participation certificates are supplied to all attendees after successful completion of the training.

Our training courses are provided on-site at our Aberdeenshire headquarters. However, if this isn’t suitable, we can also provide training via videocall.

NFPA 11 Foam Collection Equipment

Ancillary products for use in calculating 25% drainage time and expansion ratio of foam concentrates, built to  international foam standard NFPA 11: 2021 Annex D specifications.

Foam Collection Board

Designed to hold and direct produced foam into the Collection Cylinder.

Foam Collection Cylinder

Designed to collect produced foam using the Collection Board, and be used with Tripod and Stand. (included in Foam Concentrate Test Kit)

Foam Collection Tripod

Designed to hold Collection Cylinder during recording of 25% drainage time.
